Participantrumour has it that they will use lightening strikes connected to the tram cables to jump start the Luas after the local gurriers stall them by throwing old unfashionable Kangaroo runner boots over the trams conducting rods.

Participantblush – what a gaf! Just so you know I am not altogether mad there is a namesake old mucker of mine living just off Emmet Road in Inchicore!
Interesting fella – the original Mr. Gardiner – shame his legacy is so no unkonwn to the layman (including myself). Wonder if he was around today would be developing as high as he used to plan wide?

Participanti know one of the brothers and i’d put a wager on the fact that he has enough of a hippy streak to retain it for it’s uniqueness.

I completely agree Blain….I’m not sure exactly where they get this “fear” from …….. It seems we’re doomed to having a squat village dwelling with a permanent shortage of space because people feels that building “up” will just cause massive social problems or something….
I really don’t get it.
fjpmaybe it’s ballymun-iphobia.
completely agree about the lack of imagination though, took a walk around the back of the IFSC the other day, felt suspiciously like an area of Romania I was in a few years back. the uniformity amazed me. effect is much worse from the river. and maybe it’s just me but does the width of the river promenade just make the buildings look shorter and stumpier.
