Money from the Heritage Council generally goes to conservation or related projects – and usually only to those whic might be regarded as absolutely critical.
The fund is not large and own’t stretch very far in any one year.

Nothing to do with the IGS. Those sites are hosted and maintained by me to help those organisation. I was looking for funding to do the Buildings of Ireland section.
Ahh sod them, the next time they come looking for me to promote their agendas they can go run and jump….

Get this…. reasons why from the Heritage Council…
“The funding available under the 2002
Publications Grant Scheme is towards the design and production of a
document or web-site but not for the equipment required to produce it.”so because I can do the work myself I cannot get money for kit… but if I wanted to pay a webdeveloper, they would have forked out for that…. how ****ing stupid is that….

Can you start billing yourself as an employee of Archeire and therefore make a claim for the devlopment as a buisness cost?

Thats probably a good point. Much as I hate the old oirish clientelleism of politics you might get some joy if you contacted a local TD or an opposition spokesman or something.
