Still in use today, it was described at the time of its completion as a ‘very neat little church’.
A relatively straight forward Palladian facade with projecting Corinthian portico, this Methodist church also has a fine interior.
Simple little church with gothic detailing. The main façade has a simple arched doorway with a small rose window. The side onto the small laneway has paired single light arched windows.
The present Seymour Street Church building was built and opened in 1875. Shortly afterwards a manse was built adjacent ground with Seymour Street National School,
Designed in the Gothic Revival style by noted architect W.H. Lynn and completed in 1876, the church was home to one of the largest Methodist congregations in Belfast.
Built over ten years by two architects – the chapel of 1872-74 by Thomas Holbrook;
