The Manitoba Theatre for Young People is a performing arts theatre geared towards children and youth. This was the first new-build construction at The Forks and was completed in August 1999. The building is bright, colourful, and has design nods towards the former railway usage of the site like the roofs reminiscent of older cabooses. The concrete columns are designed to be fun, created by a local artist for the building.
