1827 – New Whitechurch, Rathfarnham, Co. Dublin Architect: John Semple In 1827, a new parish church, officially titled ‘New Whitechurch’, was consecrated, blessed and opened for public worship by the Archbishop of Dublin.
1829 – St. Maelruain’s Church of Ireland, Tallaght, Co. Dublin Architect: John Semple A new church, constructed in 1829, using the fabric of an earlier church, and re-using a medieval tower as a belfry.
1830 – Monkstown Church of Ireland, Co. Dublin Architect: John Semple & John McCurdy Originally built in 1789, but re-modelled in 1830 by John Semple, the Church of Ireland in Monkstown is an extravagant piece of 19th century church architecture.
1830 – St. Mary’s Church of Ireland, Donnybrook, Dublin Architect: John Semple / Joseph Welland The foundation stone of St Mary’s was laid in 1827 and the church consecrated in April 1830.
1830 – St. Mary’s Church, Mountjoy Street, Dublin Architect: John Semple Closed in 1962, and converted into offices, this was Sir John Betjeman’s favourite church in Dublin.
