Architecturally one of the finest churches in Cork city, the church was dedicated for worship on 29 June 1866.
The Munster Arcade was one of the principal department stores in Cork. Based on St. Patrick’s Street,

Built in two phases, this church was started by Pugin &
Puxley Mansion, lies on a hillside west of the town of Castletownbere near the older Dunboy Castle.
Originally designed by the Pain brothers in 1836, the interior is Gothick in style with later fittings by S.F.
Shooting lodge and offices for Marquess of Ormonde. Estimated cost: £3,000. Published in The Irish Builder,
Designed by John B. Keane, St. Mary’s took over twenty years to complete and Keane died during construction.
