Designed by famed architect Henry Hobson Richardson, the construction of City Hall was completed in 1883.
The late 18th century, grade II listed terrace of four houses were built in the French Renaissance / Baronial style.
The foundation stone for the new convent was laid on 15th September 1879, but building work was suspended for a period during 1881-1882,
