There are extensive low earthworks on the hillside, but the earliest buildings are St Molaise’s House and this fine round tower close by,

Originally a four storey, 16th century castle, a large two storey addition was added between 1830-35 by architect John B.
An unusual smaller country house that was probably constructed around 1740. The main front has a blank attic storey leaving the small pediment stranded above an expanse of un-decorated wall between a string course and cornice.
The community was constructed between 1917 and 1926 with the Chapel of St Gabriel blessed on May 23 1926.
The bridge carried the Sligo, Leitrim and Northern Counties Railway across the River Erne from the Great Northern Railway Station at Enniskillen to the Midland Great Western Railway near Ballisodare in County Sligo.
Originally constructed as a market house circa 1839 and converted into a townhall in 1889.
