Someone who could plan and project manage an extension is a chartered building surveyor. I’ve actually heard that building surveyors can act as both extension planners and project managers. A part of building surveyor’s education is site/project administration and management.
as for rendering, try this freeware porgram: nVidia Gelato 2.0. You’ll need a nVidia 3d-graphics accelerator on your PC, but it is completely free and produces excellent results.
