if people had listened to EL ARCHITINO in the first place instead of these howling harrignton characters, the milenium bridge would not be the disgrace presented to us today.
EL ARCHITINO’s entry to the competition did not even make the shortlist due to the short-sighted-ness of the jury.
taking as its concept divine phenomenalogical experience and stopping the colloquial dublin “nacker” from wrecking the bridge, the structure manifests itself as a solid mass of brick wedged in the river. as it is an impervious mass through which no water may pass it also functions as a dam (should one be needed ).
each of the bricks would be made from diomands dipped in platinum covered with brick dust (showing EL ARCHITINO’s interest in the unseen).

EL ARCHITINO demands that the current bridge be ripped down and this, more suitable structure be erected poste haste.

EL ARCHITINO has had his graphic design firm make up an alternative logo to the pathetic attempt made by dublin city council.

EL ARCHITINO’s design heals wounds during transition between old and new, between passion and apathy.

should anyone wish to purchase a t-shirt with this logo they are available on request from EL ARCHITINO gift shop 43 lower benburbs st.sizes xxs only

EL ARCHITINO’s press office has relesed the following statement:

EL ARCHITINO is 84% sure that his was the original winner. the unquestionable beauty of a 600m solid platinum statue of EL ARCHITINO containing no programme and held up using pile foundations (each cut from a 200,000carat rose diomand) is sure to have moved the judges as much as it did EL ARCHITINO.

not forgetting U2 and the little people EL ARCHITINO’s design response to these issues was to put the recording studio below ground and create a viewing platform for the people at the feet of the statue. binoculars would be provided so that EL ARCHITINO’s grace and might may be observed.

the attatched render shows it in context:

EL ARCHITINO’s press office would also like to note that the fact that no one has yet discovered a 200000carat rose diomand shows that like leonardo, he is ahead of his time.

do not mock thomas for changing his name!

why believe it or not EL ARCHITINO was once not named like this at all. as a young boy EL ARCHITINO was beaten and taunted because of his name now he never wants to speak of those days again.

EL ARCHITINO applaudes thomas and his quest for an enigmatic name and wishes him all the best of luck in winning the award for the most promising elderly architect in the world.

EL ARCHITNO requests that the microphone be turned off.

i hope this is not a done decission yet!

i cannot believe they would even consider reddy for the presidency. im surprised hes even a member of the RIAI he doesnt seem to have any interest in architecture whatsoever.
the only building of any merit he has ever done are the offices he works in which shows you where his interests lie.

el architino will not stand for this sort of mumbojumbo.

    EL ARCHITINO FOR PRESIDENTE!!!!!!!!

i agree with what.i cant understand a lot of the stuff in building material either but the stuff i do persevere with i find very rewarding and helps to bring a new level of thinking into my architecture. if you dont like it dont read it but dont knock it.
