i don’t know if any of you are aware, but the Vet college in dublin is about to be transferred out of it’s present site in ballsbridge shelbourne road, to campus at belfield. The buidings are edwardian dating from 1909 with a quad and central clock. there is also a gate lodge. there is no preservation order on these buildings. IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN HELPING SAVE the place from imminent destruction, please raise awareness by contacting your umbrella organization, the vet council(53 Landsdowne Road D4) and the national press. mY CONTACT TELEPHONE NO. IS 087 2909371. There appears to be a lack of will to save these buildings among the hierarchy of the vet profession due to the real estate value of the site, so I’m appealing to other parties to offer support and stimulate debate. Thanks, D. Holmes MVB.
