A strong, muscular almost brutalist facade treatment gives the Agriculture building a stern and forbidding appearance. It is of five storeys, a lower ground level is hidden below a surrounding walkway. The acid-etched concrete screen is designed to reduced light and solar gain into the spaces behind. The strong linear lines of the building contrasts with the rubble stone finished lower ground level.
