Corrigan’s or Emy Mill is located about a half mile to the south of Mullan. This impressive ten storey mill was probably built as a spinning mill originally.
A vast and magnificent mill complex constructed by the Herdman family, who also built the model village and their home here.
Constructed as the Lansdowne Spinning and Weaving factory between 1851-54 for John Norris Russell. The buildings cost in the region of £80,000 and were designed to employ 6,000 workers.
Now demolished, the Braidwater Mill was established in 1865 and employed generations from the town and surrounding areas.
