Sidney Maskell

Architect with the Office of Public Works, Dublin, from the 1940s until the 1960s. Sidney Maskell was probably an English architect, who came to Ireland at the beginning of World War II. A keen gardener, his gardens at Kilbogget were published in Country Life in 1981 where he is described as Architect and Landscapist to the National Parks and Monuments. For several years, 1978 – 1983, he was the President of the Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland.
