1905 – Public Library, St. Catharines, Ontario
St. Catharines established a free public library in 1888. The library board received a $25,000 gift from Andrew Carnegie in December 1901.

When Vassar opened in 1865, the library was a mere single room in Main with a collection of only three thousand books.

Closed as a library in 2017. In 2022 Oldham Council is carrying out a £2.4million refurbishment to restore the library and the adjacent Town Hall to their original Victorian glory and provide an improved space for the community.
