Frederick Batchelor (1866-1931)

Former chief assistant to J. Rawson Carroll and, from 1892, partner in Carroll & Batchelor which lasted until Carroll’s retirement in 1905. Later partner with Frederick G. Hicks as Batchelor & Hicks which operated from 1905 to 1922 when Batchelor retired.

“We understand Mr Batchelor is leaving Ireland and has resigned his membership of the Institute of Architects of Ireland with which he has been connected for many years. Mr Batchelor first came to this country to the office of the late Mr R Rawson Carroll, whose partner he subsequently became. Later he entered into partnership with Mr F.G. Hicks. Mr Batchelor is a past president of the Institute of Architects of Ireland. ” The Irish Builder, June 17 1922.
