1806 – Barracks, Fermoy, Co. Cork Architect: Abraham Addison Hargrave John Anderson, a Scottish merchant, settled in Cork and in 1797 bought the Fermoy estate.
1809 – The Royal Mint, London Architect: Robert Smirke Constructed in 1809, the Royal Mint complex is much re-built as technology changed over time for the production of money.
1809 – Court House, Armagh, Co. Armagh Architect: Francis Johnston The courthouse by Francis Johnston is a relatively simple affair and should be compared with the larger Court House built in nearby Monaghan only twenty years later.
1809 – Dawson Monument, Rockcorry, Co. Monaghan Architect: James Wyatt An obelisk-style monument, situated between Cootehill and Rockcorry, this was erected by local electors in honour of the 18th century MP Richard Dawson of nearby Dartrey.
1809 – Nelson’s Pillar, O’Connell St., Dublin Architect: William Wilkins Predating London’s Nelson Column by almost 30 years, Nelson’s Pillar was a 36.8m tall column with a 3.9m tall statue by Thomas Kirk in Portland Stone at the top.
1810 – St Patrick’s Church of Ireland, Ardagh, Co. Longford Constructed in 1810 with the three stage tower added several years later. The tower has cut stone corner pinnacles and Irish style crenellated parapet.
