ParticipantI stumbled across this building on Kings Inns Street undergoing work yesterday (apologies for the crap image)
The building was previously anonymous on the street because it windows were blocked up. Previously in use as a storage depot. Turns out that planning was recently granted for a cafe in the downstairs area. Opening up and refurbishment works taking place.
Curious place for a cafe as I cant imagine there would be much footfall. DIT students dont seem to venture beyond their own student cafe.
Great big hulk of a building…anyone know its background.

InactiveWhen I was in college in Bolton St it was always referred to it as the ‘R MINTS’ building.
There was a great big painted sign on the building that obviously originally read ‘SILVERMINTS’ but half the wall the sign was on had gone/been removed.
