In 1911 it was decided to hold an architectural competition,
No longer a bank branch but an attractive building on a prominent junction site.
This magnificent public baths building was constructed between 1914 and 1916,
Cinema opened in 1917 on the site of an earlier theatre,
Construction started in October 1914. The interior features a beautiful and large marble-clad hall lit by stained glass skylights bearing the arms of Quebecois historical figures,

The original Victoria Jubilee Hall was designed by Robert Findlay and erected in 1898.
