1957 – Cadbury’s, Coolock, Dublin
Architect: C.J. Wilkinson
Cadbury’s was established in 1824 in Birmingham with its first Irish factory at Ossory Road, Dublin opening in 1933. At this time, the company manufactured and sold just three products. In 1957, the Ossory Road factory was closed, with production moving to its current site in Coolock. Now much extended, this is the original building on the site, designed by Cadbury’s in-house architect C.J. Wilkinson, with administration offices fronting a sawtooth roofed factory floor.
