Constructed as the headquarters of the Bank of Toronto, a function it fulfilled until its merger with the Dominion Bank in the 1950s to form the Toronto-Dominion Bank. The Beaux-Arts design featured impressive facades along Bay St and King St West, finished in Tennessee marble. They were dominated by large colonnades of fluted Corinthian columns, which stood on a paneled pedestal separated by balustrades. Demolished in 1965 and replaced with the Toronto-Dominion Centre by Mies.
