The Dublin Spire was the winning entry in an architectural competition to provide a replacement for Nelson’s Pillar which was blown up in 1966.
The site for the project is located on the south bank of the Liffey Quays in Dublin’s Docklands.
According to the architects “Conceptually, the towers originate from a single block ‘split by tectonic forces’ which open up a central ‘crystalline’ chasm.
Developer- driven proposal to demolish part of the Robinson Keefe Devane designed bankcentre and replace it with a range of blocks up to nine storeys in height.
