Following a demolition there is a new, and doubtless transient, view of Dublin Castle at the end of Aungier Street.
Be quick, this does not look like an empty site to linger on and on.

Thats the Dunnes HQ development site. Interesting angle on the Castle.

cracking site fjp, will have a good dig into that later. seeing dublin presented like this early ona working morning makes me almost fall off my chair with glee.
sorry to go off topic with this one but are there any of the Nuzum Bros. 201(?) shop on Pearse Street, backing onto Trinity. has to be my favourite dead shopfront in Dublin.

one point. Busarus isn’t a sixties building.
Checkout the profile of it on this site.Nice images. I don’t see any repeated cars/people within the multiple exposures either. You must shoot fast.

Hi everyone,
Thanks all for the great comments on what is a very, very easily criticised site (chaotic order, odd selection, opinions swinging wildly with moods).
I checked the profile on Busarus, and boy was I way off. It’s already fixed and online. I’ve probably made loads of mistakes like that, and I’m now kind of worried.
I know the Nuzum Bros shopfront well, but it had just slipped my mind. I don’t have any photos of it as yet, but I’ll get to it and it’ll be in the next update. I’m putting up about 280 new city shots in the next couple of days.
Repeated cars: I don’t shoot fast, I shoot very slow. Often (like the link above) it seems like there’s no traffic, when it was actually about 10.30 on a weekday morning. I shot between the cars.
Cheers, and have good weekends,
fjp

Dunnes are also completing a massive headquarters out at the Blanchardstown Centre. It must be about 12 stories high, although it looks a bit bulky due to the size of the floor plates.

It’s quite a distinctive feature on the landscape and looks good…..it is being covered in shiney glass.
