Originally started out as Parknasilla House after the Bland family built Derryquin Castle on the grounds as a new resience.
Later much extended from its original 1894 appearance. Architect unknown for the alterations by the railway company in 1894,
Originally constructed as a hunting lodge for the 2nd Earl of Kingston, ca 1780, and later remodelled in 1825 by the 3rd Earl.
Alternative design for church which Doolin was designing for Castlemaine. The design constructed opened in 1900.
Unbuilt competition entry for a new town hall. The competition was won by Joseph F.
Replacing a church of 1829, but sadly the intended spire was never completed perhaps due to the death of the building’s benefactor.
The castle belonged in the 17th century to the Chinnery family, and during the late 1690s was sold to William Freeman,
Ornate Victorian hotel with retail units at ground level. The building was largely rebuilt and extended during 1910-11 after a large fire.
Construction started on this red-brick church with Portland stone dressings in 1899, with dedication in 1901.
