1948 – Design for Premonstratensian Abbey, Kilnacrott, Co. Cavan

Image of model for vast range of buildings by Downes Meehan for the Norbertine Order. Never built as shown, this image was on a postcard designed to promote the campaign fund to build the abbey. Only a small portion of the accommodation ranges was completed as Holy Trinity Abbey, with the unfinished cloisters. The chapel and its landmark modern campanile was never built. Notorious for being the home of a religious order than harboured sex abuser priests.
