1995 – Arthouse, Curved Street, Dublin
The Arthouse building is sited on Dublin’s newest street – the imaginatively named Curved Street.
Shay Cleary studied at University College Dublin, graduating 1974. Worked with Marcel Breuer and Candilis Josic Woods in Paris and with Neave Brown at the Camden Borough Council in London before returning to Dublin in 1976. Worked as a partner with Grafton Architects (1977-80) before establishing Shay Cleary Architects in 1987. He was also a member of Group ’91 Architects. In addition to having been published extensively internationally, the work of the practice has received numerous awards.

A thirty five-story hotel intended to be part of the National Conference Centre complex on Dublin’s North Wall Quay.
This library building is phase two of the Cork County Council Civic Campus. It is the headquarters for a twenty two branch county wide network of local libraries and provides administrative offices and a large book processing facility for Cork.
Currently under construction.
