1840 – Gywn’s Institution, Brooke Park, Derry Architect: Samuel Jackman John Gwyn was a local businessman, who was born near Muff in County Donegal in 1754.
1860s – Victoria Hotel, Ferryquay Gate, Derry Fine Italianate hotel building constructed beside one of the gates into the city, the Ferrygate. Demolished in 1994.
