1770s – Mount Trenchard, Foynes, Co. Limerick Mount Trenchard House was built in the late 1770s by the Anglo-Irish Rice family, who were major landowners in County Limerick.
1858 – Railway Station, Foynes, Co. Limerick Designed to serve the Patrickswell, Adare, Askeaton and Foynes regions, the Foynes-Limerick rail line was first opened as a passenger line in 1858.
1860s – Aras Ide, Foynes, Co. Limerick Now the home of Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum, this the original terminal building in Foynes with a control tower to assist the landing of the flying boats in the harbour.
1868 – Unbuilt Design for St. Senanus Church, Foynes, Co. Limerick Architect: J.J. McCarthy Although a church was constructed, started to a design to McCarthy, it was much simplified and finished in 1932 by Ralph Henry Byrne.
1910 – Post Office and Bank, Foynes, Co. Limerick Architect: William Clifford Smith Around 1900, working on a commission from local landowner Lord Monteagle, Francis Inigo Thomas designed a Market Square for Foynes,
1943 – Former Hotel / Hospital, Foynes, Co. Limerick Architect: Desmond Fitzgerald The former St. Senan’s hospital was built by the Government as a hotel accommodation for passengers travelling on the flying boats which passed through Foynes while en-route to America and Continental Europe.
