Replacing a church of 1829, but sadly the intended spire was never completed perhaps due to the death of the building’s benefactor.
The Stamford, Spalding and Boston Banking Company came into being as a joint-stock bank in 1880.
Opened as a bank branch in 1897, the building was later occupied by the National Provincial Bank,
An hotel belonging to the Phipps Northampton Brewery Company. Still a hotel, under the Travelodge brand.
