The delightful new commuter route brought to us by the collapse of the Malahide Estuary Bridge Thingy has brought to my attention (or rather, reminded me of) a whole series of half-assembled electricity pylons along side the M1. They have been left in this state for at least 18 months if not more, does anyone know the story behind this?

On an almost completely unrelated note, and just for the fun of it, I also noticed a great LED-board advert by Kube Kitchens in Balbriggan that is visible from the M1: “Our German-engineered kitchens that last longer than an Irish Rail line”. Gotta love the cheekiness of it! 😀

Under appeal at the moment with ABP after FCC granted permission to complete it in August this year.
