Stone the crows – a new form of urban renewal

Gardai are investigating the theft early today of 26 large granite blocks from a segment of the wall of the south side of the River Liffey at Victoria Quay, near Heuston. The theft happened at a part of the quay wall which had been cordoned off for repairs . It is believed the thieves used lifting equipment and a truck to steal the blocks, which are over 200 years old.
