Ive applied for retention of an extension of a building that is listed on the inventory of buildings of Ireland. The clients had replaced all of the original sash windows with pvc sash windows. The council have come back looking for further information saying that timber sash windows would be more suitable and to submit proposals for replaceing the pvc ones. Now the clients have paid alot of money to put in new pvc ones so what rights do the council have if the building is not protected. I have seen houses on that inventory that have been knocked down to build new modern buildings.
Btw I am not a fan of pvc windows either!!!!!1
