NEW HEADQUARTERS BUILDING FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF ARTS, HERITAGE, GAELTACHT AND THE ISLANDS COMPETITION.
The Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland, 51 St Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2 (Tel., 353-1-6613111; Fax., 353-1-6768463) are administering an open two stage competition on behalf of the Department of Arts, Heritage,Gaeltacht and the Islands.
This Architectural competition is for the architectural/design services for a new headquarters building located at Infirmary Road, Dublin 8. Envisaged is a building size of approximately 12,563 sq m. on a total site area of 6327 sq m. and a Total Project Budget of IR £12. m (Euro. 15,236,856.94)
The competition will be held in two stages. Stage 1 is open to Architects holding a qualification listed in the EU Architects Directive 85/384/EEC or Architects eligible to hold an architectural post in Government or Local Authority services in Ireland, and to Architectural practices. 6 of the participants will be selected to go forward to Stage 2 to complete a more detailed design proposal. Each stage 2 entrant will receive a premium of IR £10,000. (Euro. 12,697.38) inclusive of travel, subsistence and expenses. For the winning candidate, this will be an advance on the fee for executing the commission, if the Project proceeds.
