Metropolis or mayhem

interesting view of the quays with the high rise additions but thank god it is just that. the last thing dublin needs is a haphazard half-assed canary wharf or cbd. i hope that the ideas and plans for towers in donnybrook and heuston area get the nod and go ahead. seems like a good idea to have several distinct buildings around the city and not just on the quays.
i also agree with the view that the city should look to europe for models and ideas of urban development. less traffic with more pedestrian and cycle friendly sections of the city would be great. finally is the coolred idea for pearse st related to the i.m. pei plan for redeveloping the station or is this a new idea. any info appreciated…cheers
