A Celtic Tiger has found a new den — a classic 19th-century Victorian in the same patrician enclave that boasts Diana Ross and at least two billionaires as residents.

Inside its walls, the man known to his Irish compatriots as the Baron of Ballsbridge, who some say personified the fleeting prosperity of economic boom in his homeland, its excesses and ultimate pitfalls, planned to hit the reset button on life.

But a home renovation project at 38 Bush Ave. has alienated Sean Dunne from his Belle Haven neighbors and rendered the 56-year-old real estate tycoon and hotelier a pariah in the very place he pursued sanctuary.

      Priceless quotation:

“They have essentially demolished the dwelling and are starting over on new construction,” Case said. “It’s certainly an eyesore right now. Every time it rains, it puts mud in my driveway and my tree expert says it’s suffocating the root system of a couple of trees I have in my backyard.”

      “My tree expert.”

      I ask you!

First time I’ve ever heard of mud wash off “suffocating” any root system.

      ONQ.

Last thing I need is some decrepit git describing me as “tough as old boots”, true though that might be…

      ONQ.
