Looks like they’ve been reading the “Plundering Code” section of the Rough Guide to the Internet, which encourages Web beginners to cut and paste bits of other people’s sites.
But to import a complete design is outrageous, not to say lazy and stupid: the same system that allows such easy plundering also means they are easily traced.
Bombard the faculty with complaints, I say.

They’ve even stolen the javascript errors IE6 generates when you move the mouse over the left-hand menu…

Not a happy camper about this
To Whom It May Concern
I would like to draw your attention to the visual design of
http://www.arch.ttu.edu/arc/grain_elevator/And its similarity to our website at
https://archiseek.com/Not a co-incidence I’m sure you would agree when a quick glance at the HTML code shows that it still even includes the same names for the graphic files,
I think this is disgraceful and a breach of the copyright on our design. I would expect better from an academic institution. How did you expect that we would not see this on the Internet?
I am formally requesting this site to be removed or redesigned immediately.
regards
Paul Clerkin

They could have at least changed the colour scheme!!! That would have diverted attention for a bit at least before the wholesale code lifting was noticed.
How was this site discoverd anyway? -

Mr. Clarkin,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The website was under
construction and the Architecture Research Center was not aware that it
was available for viewing. The web-site will be removed immediately and the student involved in the
development of the site will be dealt with accordingly.Texas Tech University has strict guidelines regarding plagiarism and
would never publish information without prior approval. Please understand that the funding sponsors were in no way responsible
for the site.Thank you again.
