was watching superhouse on bbc last night (as that’s where i get all my “architectural knowledge” 🙂 )
was showing the most expensive houses in london in the kensington grovner eaton, area , ya know there white house around sqaure anyway it said that they are now mostly being bought by eastern europeans who are used to flats and the the 3/4 story buildings.. have too small rooms etc for modern living so they are “laterising” ie buying three houses next to each other and knocking through on each level to make huge horizontal flats…
thought it was interesting…
