Thats great news!
It will be interesting to have a motorway service station for the first time in Ireland. 🙂
But in my opinion i’d only like to see one on each of the main inter-urban routes .
As Ireland is still a small country and these stations could further suck the life out the bypassed towns and villages.
And I really feel the monasterevin is an arsed location for the sevice station considering its only 40 mins drive to Dublin, I believe this is part of the monopoly of the Dublin area or some local developer
. Its pointless stopping or having it here
The whole idea of it is to service long distance traffic that need to stop on a half way point, between to major centres of population,in my mind. :confused:
They should have it soutwest of Portlaois near the new toll collection area.
