Jingle Jangle

I would like to give credit where credit is due. The stretch of the Royal canal from Binns Bridge to the Cross Guns Bridge has been getting a face lift over the past few months. This morning is the first time that it actually caught my eye. They have a light colour sanded type pavement running either side that looks really well. They have also installed retro-minimalist (I have made that word up) lamp post all along the banks that look really really nice. Well done DCC or the OPW, whoever is over-seeing the project.

Further down the canal between Binns Bridge and Croke Park they are building apartments called Portland Dock I think. I wonder how the folk who buys this will mix with the residents of the corpo Portland square and the cliental of The Red Parrot.
