I saw on the RTE news last night that due to the construction boom at the moment the government are encouraging immigrants who are specialized the in architectural design areas. Thank God I thought we may now get more designers with a bit of imagination and flair instead the regular run of the mill text book slaves.

Sure we Irish are new to this architcture business, about seventy years. Look at the damage we done when the ball was finally in our court,demolition balls more like. Irish architects,planners etc..seem to be second
rate when compared to their foreign counterparts. When you think of it while the Normans were feasting in their castles us Irish were were running about the fields bare arsed and eating blackberries.
