Hello,
I realise this posting is very sketchy and being a regular on some other forums i know how annoying a ‘newbie’ question can appear but if someone could give me a very sketchy answer to by very sketchy question i would really appreciate it.
With this whole property market i am looking at a house which is need of alot of repair. Its liveable if you want to reinact angela ashes but woudn’t really put much faith in my prospective mother-in-law.
I am being priced out of where i want to live and a property came up in the market which i could deal with doing it up and taking the hit of the mortagage whilst it is being repaired.
Anyhow (finally) here is my question. Rather than ‘do it up’ i was thinking of employing an architect of designing something open-plan or something to the house which means gutting the place and starting from scratch. Like the idea of creating something.
How much (i know its general) would it cost in all to get all the work, including labour etc to for a normal 1920’s terrace house.
I am guessing…..50,000 for a cheap version rising to maybe 80,000 for better materials etc….
Am i way wide of the mark.
Thanks guys/girls……
