      Hi all,

I work for an engineering company in Ireland, not long in the job and hoping to impress my new employers (times they are a changing). I was just wondering if anybody knows of any other good quality companies involved in galvanizing other than Galco, who seem to have the entire markey sown up.

Also wondered if anyone knows of a company that might offer a good painting service for galvanised steel – when I say good – I mean the balance between quality and price.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks
      M

      check out zinga galvanic protection.

we’ve specified it on 2 balcony replacement jobs for a local authority in the uk – 2 separate firms of engineers have raved about it.

      Metalhead,

I have had some experience with Galvanizing companies in the Mid West Region of Ireland if that is of interest to you. The best that our company has come across is a company called Shannonside Galvanizing based in Limerick – which I must say do give great results fro galvanizing. They also have the biggest galvanizing pot in Ireland, and can more or less accomodate any size of steel that you may come across. If you contact them, tell them that Silver Finish recommended them ( I may get a discount or at least tickets to a Munster Match). They also provide a painting service, though I believe that this maybe in its infancy, but if that is as good as their galvanizing finish, you won’t be too far from getting a great job done under one roof.

Best of luck in the new job.
      Tom
