Interesting set of maps for anyone living in the county, note the railway alignments being maintained along the old swords bypass and the stretch from the Blanchardstown Town Centre to Porterstown (future) railway station. See here 🙂

      Hi Phillip welcome to Archiseek,

quite a bizarre excuse to pour an obscene amount of concrete in relation to the Swords Bypass metro.

Hi Thomond Park! Nice to see a familiar ‘face’ on a new forum! 🙂

Yeah, I reckon that is the route the RPA want as it clearly states in the FCC dev. plan that they were ‘advised’ by the RPA to maintain that route. FCC will not be allowing any development between the M50 and the airport until a metro is built (or so they say). I wonder how the IKEA store fits into that.

The dev. plan is impressive for an irish local authority. D15 in particular is set to grow further along the railway at Ongar and Hansfield. The Ongar Distributor road is going to open early (it’s near my house and will alow access to Clonsilla station in under 10mins by foot. It’s at least 20 atm.)

It’s a proper road-sigle carriageway, 4 lanes wide (a continuous bus lane on both sides the entire length of the road and FCC are upgrading Blanchardstown Roads north & south, Grove Road, Snugborough extension and Snugborough road proper to the same 4 lanes. It’ll create a bus lane from Ongar/Hansfield all the wy to the employment centres of Blanch, pretty much all north of the N3 (Balycoolin etc.).
