Does anyone think that a sort of ‘default conservatism’ on behalf of planning chiefs limits architects’ creativity? Through no fault of their own.
It seems that some other countries’ regulations mean architects are ‘allowed’ to be more creative whereas in Ireland they sometimes seem to be stalled before they even start.
Does anyone agree?
I’m a freelance journalist and am pitching the idea to an arch mag.
