Would for example 150 m be adquate in a 80 km zone having a solid white line! Just for information purposes, there is an opening already there, and also houses either side.

Firstly to clarify the term is “lines of sight” or sight distance. As far as I recall there is nothing in the Planning Acts/Regulations. However many local authorities have included minimum sight distances in their Development Plans to correspond with the speed limit of the road.
