I have an 1837 drawing of Tinarana, seen from the water, and it doesn’t look at all like the Gauci building: there’s a tiny version on my page here http://irishwaterwayshistory.com/abandoned-or-little-used-irish-waterways/the-lower-shannon/shannon-south/the-survey-of-lough-derg-1839/ about half way down. Someone suggested Ballyvalley, of which there is no decent pic on the web: it might have the right sort of background but doesn’t seem to be the right size or shape. I’ve found only one plain seven-bay three-storey house and that’s Tarbert, but I’m not sure if you could get enough hill into the background. bjg
