For me Parliament Street is the prettiest. It sums up a lot of what the Wide Streets Commissioners were trying to achieve: Perfect, in minature. From the truly grand City Hall, the exquisite 1780 block, the unique (for Dublin at least) Sunlight Chambers and even later editions such as the Porter House all contribite to something rather special. Its too bad that Capel Street was never straightened and finished off with something. Perhaps something equally continental like a church inspired by Saint Michaels in Hamburg; http://www.st-michaelis.de/. We can’t change history, and Pastiche went out with Victoria!
