The architect Henry Hill worked for the local landowners, the Shuldhams, on the construction of the Church of Ireland nearby, but there is no definitive proof that he worked for them at their home or the lovely gate lodge, although presumedly he did. A many gabled Victorian house with open timber work and a short tower. Burned out during the 1920s. Restored in 1925 by J.F. McMullen for the Countess of Bandon who had inherited the house. Later fell into dereliction again before being restored in the early 21st century.
