Purpose built hotel from the 1870s, later extended, most notedly by W.H. Byrne around 1901. The building remained a functional hotel until 2017 when it was sold. The building has remained dilapidated and unused since. The facade of the building is recorded on the Record of Protected Structures. Planning permission has been granted to convert into apartments.
