The hotel was originally located at number 8 Upper Ormond Quay but was later expanded in the early 20th Century to encompass a large portion of the quay from numbers 7 to 11. Featured in Ulysses by James Joyce, this quayside hotel had a rather undistinguished interior and entrance. Unfortunately during the 1990s the original glazing was removed and replaced by uPVC frames. The hotel owner later received planning permission to demolish the existing building and construct a new hotel on the site. Eventually demolished in July 2018 detracting enormously from the appearance and continuity of the north quays.

Map is being rolled out, not all buildings are mapped yet.
